An imposing fabulous quality 19th century walnut and floral marquetry credenza of serpentine form, the wonderfully shaped top having ormolu moulding, the shaped frieze below decorated with floral marquetry and ormolu beading and carved patraes, the credenza having four two glazed doors with very fine ormolu beading around the edges, opening to reveal a single fixed shelf at the centre and three fixed shelves either side, the front of the credenza having four columns and with each column having an ormolu figure head at the top and a floral ormolu mount at the bottom, sitting on a lovely shaped plinth which is decorated with ormolu patraes and mounts, the size and quality makes this an important and unique piece of furniture, circa 1860.
