19th century Louis XV style beautiful fireplace sculpted in a soft colored Rouge Royal marble. The finely carved shelf rests on a serpentine front, with a rocaille shell framed by flowers. The jambs are hand carved in the form of curved and tapered pilasters with cartouche echoed on the end blocks. In excellent condition. This bright red marble is characterized by the presence of white calcite flames.
